They completely ignored the camp and spent the next hour sitting outside discussing what they should do. The conversation oscillated between silly and serious. A lot of suggestions were about what she could do if the loops didn't end.

She finally got annoyed with the talk and said, "Hey, enough! I really don't want to see you all die over and over again. Let's end this quickly."

"Sorry," Jackie said. "I guess we need to make a list of things that you need to try and see if they work."

"Take down the dome," suggested Rex.

"Or just try to leave it," Yasmine added.

"Get into that storage area. Maybe find another way in?" asked Angela.

"Kill the dancing lights," said the twins in unison.

Brick sighed and said, "You know there's only one way she's going to beat this and that's to solve the mystery."

"I guess it depends on what is causing the loops. If they're caused by the lights, then stopping them would work, if it's part of the dome, then stopping it would work, but..." Jackie trailed off.

"If it was one of those, it would probably have affected more than just me. That means that whatever is causing this has to be tied to both me and the camp."

Rex scratched his head and asked, "So what does that mean?"

Elizabeth shrugged and said, "It means we don't have enough information to know what's happening."

Half the group nodded and the other half looked disappointed. She had a reputation for having the answers and this time she didn't. It was really frustrating. She liked having the answers, or at least having a place to start from.

Angela stood up and offered Elizabeth her hand. "There's only one thing to do. Try one thing at a time until you have more information."

The easiest for them to test out was what would happen if she left the dome. They decided the entrance was the best place, since she'd be able to at least brief Elmsley.

At the entrance, she hugged all her friends and said, "Wish me luck." Walking through the dome's barrier was like being pulled to fast forward and it took her a moment to recover.

The red headed agent that had been holding up the phone blinked and asked, "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine, but the barrier is speeding up time on the inside." Just then, the barrier went black.

"That can't be good." The woman looked afraid.

"What are you doing here?" asked Elizabeth.

"General Stuart said that this site was once part of a terrible experiment and that we needed to contain any damage."

"So the dome is yours?"

"No, we just got here when magical energy spiked." The agent looked past Elizabeth and her eyes grew large. Turning around, Elizabeth saw the dome glow bright red and then shatter. Hundreds of the glowing orbs escaped and flew away. Some stopped to swarm the agents. Elizabeth turned and ran.
